Electronic Travel Authority FAQs
What is the ETA?
An ETA is an electronically stored authority for travel to Russia, and is accessible by Russian border agencies, airlines and travel agents. It’s required that you obtain an ETA if you intend to travel to Russia. All non-citizens require a Visa or Electronic Travel Authority to enter Russia.
The great advantage of an ETA is that it is 100% electronic, which allows you to visit Russian without the need to apply through a departmental office for the traditional paper visa.
ETA Expiration
This is a Single Entry travel document only.
Any further visits to Russia will require a new Visa.
The permitted stay in Russia is 16 days Per Entry, valid up to 60 days after arrival (including arrival and departure dates).
