What is the ETA?
An ETA is an electronically stored authority for travel to Egypt, and is accessible by Egyptian border agencies, airlines and travel agents. It’s required that you obtain an ETA if you intend to travel to Egypt. All non-citizens require a Visa or Electronic Travel Authority to enter Egypt.
The great advantage of an ETA is that it is 100% electronic, which allows you to visit Egypt without the need to apply through a departmental office for the traditional paper visa.
ETA Expiration
The Egypt electronic visa is offered to travelers looking to stay for a short period. The visa’s stay validity is up to thirty days or one month. You can only apply for an Egyptian e-Visa online and show the approved visa in a digital or printed copy to the border control authorities.
What are the ETA Requirements
The Egyptian electronic visa is offered to tourists and visitors from the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. This visa is only offered for touristic purposes, but you may also visit your family or friends in Egypt and stay for a maximum duration of thirty days. With an e-Visa, you can enter Egypt via plane, road, or cruise ship.
